Artist Note
Valley of the Mind is a vision of a flowing psychedelic mindscape where the folds and hills of the human brain form the literal foundation of a living world. In this recording of a perfect alignment we see lakes and houses and even a quiet farmhouse nestled within the ridges of the subconscious. A large tree with a human form rises toward a sky filled with colorful clouds and a shimmering spiral galaxy. Circling the tree are drips of vibrant color that eventually manifest into a hand balancing a glowing sphere. This work captures the specific instant when the internal and external planets align to create a moment of absolute harmony. It is a visual journal of the idea that our thoughts are the soil from which our entire reality grows. By portraying the mind as a fertile valley I am inviting the viewer to see their own consciousness as a sanctuary where nature and spirit are one. This painting serves as a testament to the beauty that is possible when the noise of the world fades and we find the tranquil balance within our own infinite expanse.Â
